Masa is seeking a Family Peer Advocate (FPA) to collaborate with families to assess their needs and link them to appropriate resources in their community. The FPA will be a parent/caregiver of a child who has experienced social, emotional, developmental, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges and has ‘lived experience’ navigating multiple child serving systems on behalf of their child(ren) with social, emotional, developmental, health and/or behavioral healthcare needs.
The Program Associate (PT) reports to the Family Support Coordinator and will provide case management services through in-person support, referrals, and rapid response services to Masa community members. The Program Associate will also provide direct family support services in navigating social services systems. In addition, the Program Associate will lead workshops and information sessions with groups either in-person or in a virtual setting.
The Robotics Instructor will teach an entry-level Robotics course offered to students in 3rd- 6th grades. The course will focus on introducing students to building robots, coding, and fostering teamwork among small groups of three-five students.
The Language Justice Program aims to deliver language services that empower historically marginalized voices. Through this project, we seek to address the need for interpretation and translation services in Spanish and Indigenous languages from Latin America and the Caribbean region (LAC) across NYC, provide economic opportunities for communities that speak these languages, and support workforce development through the strengthening of a Community Interpreter Program and a language worker cooperative.
