Masa is seeking a qualified and driven Deputy Director to join our team as a key partner to the Executive Director and senior leader of the organization. The Deputy Director works closely with the Executive Director and other stakeholders to advance the organization’s overall operational effectiveness; support implementation of Masa’s 5-year strategic plan; and ensure compliance with internal policies, government contract requirements, and applicable federal, state, and city laws. This role is 100% in-person at Masa's office in the South Bronx.
Masa is seeking a Youth Peer Advocate (YPA) to collaborate with youth and their families to assess their needs and link them to appropriate resources in their community. The YPA will be an individual between the ages of 18 to 30 years old who has self-identified as a person with first-hand lived experience with social, emotional, medical, developmental, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges, and has experience receiving mental health services and/or navigating other child-serving systems.
Masa is seeking a Family Peer Advocate (FPA) to collaborate with families to assess their needs and link them to appropriate resources in their community. The FPA will be a parent/caregiver of a child who has experienced social, emotional, developmental, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges and has ‘lived experience’ navigating multiple child serving systems on behalf of their child(ren) with social, emotional, developmental, health and/or behavioral healthcare needs.
The Family Support Coordinator reports to the Immigration and Family Support Supervisor and provides strategic and operational oversight of Masa’s family support services and the navigation services of our Pro Se Plus Project (PSPP) and the Welcome NY initiative. The Family Support Coordinator will provide case management services through in-person or virtual one-on-one support, referrals, and rapid response services to Masa community members. The Family Support Coordinator will also provide direct family support services.
The Immigration and Family Support Supervisor reports to the Programs Manager, and will play a key role in providing oversight and coordinating services under the Pro Se Plus Project and Welcome NY initiatives, which provides immigration and family support. This role will supervise the Immigrant Support Services team which includes a full-time Family Support Coordinator, a part-time Senior Program Specialist, a full-time Program Associate and a part-time Data Specialist. The Immigration Support Services team provides immigrant New Yorkers with community education, including but not limited to, Know Your Rights workshops on various topics, Emergency Planning, screenings, advice and counsel, pro se application assistance under the supervision of immigration attorneys, and individual case management and referral services for legal and social services to immigrant families residing in New York City.
Masa is seeking an Early Learning Specialist to implement the ParentChild+ home visiting model with families and children. Early Learning Specialists serve as a mentor/educator, working with parents/guardians of children aged sixteen months through four years old to promote each child's growth and development.
