The Youth Peer Advocate will be an individual 18 to 30 years old who has self-identified as a person who has first-hand experience with social, emotional, medical, developmental, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges, and has experienced receiving mental health services and/or navigating other child-serving systems

Operations Manager

The Operations Manager (OM) will be responsible for developing and adapting processes and procedures at the Masa office in the South Bronx to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate gets excited about creating new systems and is adept at planning and prioritizing, communicating, anticipating challenges, and stewarding resources. The OM will not only manage office operations but also actively participate in creating and sustaining a positive work environment and team culture, supporting the staff recruiting and hiring process, and assisting with a variety of projects to increase Masa’s impact. As the office administrator, the OM will supervise a part-time maintenance worker, liaise with a range of vendors, and manage relationships with the staff, volunteers, and community members who navigate our shared spaces. The Operations Manager will report to the Executive Director and will work with them to advance strategic initiatives and improve organizational health.

Director of Programs

Masa is seeking a highly qualified and hands-on Director of Programs who is passionate about the organization’s mission of strengthening literacy, leadership, and power for Mexican, Central American, and Indigenous People to steward a comprehensive array of services, including our K-12 Education, Family Support, and Early Childhood programs. They share Masa’s commitment to advancing social and racial justice through a community-led model and possess skills critical to developing and executing Masa’s strategic vision for its program delivery and community engagement. The ideal candidate is an effective and inspiring leader with a proven track record in education, early childhood, or social work, and who communicates fluently in both English and Spanish. The Director of Programs will manage four (4) full-time staff members and be equipped to lead all aspects of their portfolio of programs at Masa including planning, organizing, operating, evaluating and staffing. They will also partner with the Executive Director to represent Masa with external stakeholders, including community, governmental, and private organizations.

Institutional Giving Manager (Part-Time)

The role of the Institutional Giving Manager (IGM) is pivotal in advancing Masa's mission, opening new channels for funding, and cementing enduring partnerships. In close collaboration with the Executive Director, the IGM will be at the forefront of crafting and implementing an all-encompassing fundraising strategy. Their responsibilities span event coordination, orchestrating donor engagement campaigns, and cultivating meaningful connections with foundations and corporate allies. This is a part-time position, and the IGM will be expected to work 20 hours per week.

Family Support Coordinator

Masa is seeking a Family Support Coordinator to provide direct family support services and build the capacity of Masa staff to offer appropriate referrals and carry out case management, as well as support their ability to address families’ needs within their own programs. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, motivated, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is patient, and is a good listener.

Pro Se Plus Program Associate (PT, Temporary)

The Pro Se Plus Program Associate will provide administrative and programmatic support to Masa’s Immigration Pro Se Plus project, with a focus on program outreach, case management and referrals, and website management.  Other responsibilities, including community education and volunteer management, may be requested as time permits. This position is 24-30 hrs/week through August 2024.
